Blog #1 Me Myself and I
This year in Carbondale Community High School I am a sophomore. My name is Malissa Torres by the way. I have my moments when I really like to read and others when I honestly detest it. Some days it’s hard for me to even let go of the book. I just keep reading and turn page after page other days when just reading a few sentences gets on my nerves. The genre that captures my attention the most is fiction. Some books that I have read and I really like reading were Shug, The Twilight Series, Thirteen Reasons Why, and many more. The books that least capture my attention are nonfiction and science fiction I don’t hate when people read them and all just that from my point of view they aren’t that interesting. Currently the book that I am reading is The Chaos the second book in the Numbers series. The book is mostly about a guy that has a unique power. which is that when he looks into people eyes he can see the date of when they are going to die. And currently he has seen the date 01/01/2027 on a lot of people. So he is thinking to himself that something really bad is going to happen on that date. That is something interesting that I have found in the book so far.

I feel the same way sometimes with the books that I read. Sometimes I can't wait to get home and finish a book but other times I feel like I can't get into the book. I have also read The Twilight Series and Thirteen Reasons Why. I feel like we have the same tastes in books as well.

ReplyDeleteI agree aswell Meli i guess i just enjoy reading more when i am bored an have nothin to do, but the book has to have a intresting plot an not be confusig in order for me to stick to that one book.
ReplyDeleteHello, Meli. My Name is Karina Ostos (just in case you didn't know). I am also a Sophomore at Carbondale Community Highschool and I recognized the book Shug. I remember in sixth grade Maddie, you, and I really liking it and having Ms. Hilt read it too. It was the first long chapter book I read completly, over two-hundred pages. I read over half of the book twilight, in fact I almost got it done but then it just simply bored me. I haven't even been able to watch one of the movies completly for the same reason.
ReplyDeleteYou and I have very similar taste in books and I know for a fact we've read many of the same ones throught the years. I also don't like Sci-Fi. In my opinion most of the time they are just completely weird and creepy, but I have read a couple that aren't as bad.

Hey Meli. I also read the book Thirtenn reasons why although some parts were kinda depressing. I also dislike nonfiction and siencefiction books. They bore me. But ya Good blog anyway. :)
